RE: Pet smell

I have seen/smelled RVs in the past that had been 'deodorized'. Never could figure out why I could smell them still.
There are an awful lot of RVs out there today and some very good prices (with the economy like it is) - I might continue to look for a while longer unless this was a give-away price.

RE: Need Advise on Glacier National Park

We did our visit there a few years ago from the west side simply because that is the side we came to first. It seems to be greener and a little more interesting there. As the clouds move across the mountains, they have to rise up and when they do, they dump lots of snow and rain on the west side.
Great place to visit. We stayed at Glacier RV park just outside the west gate and closest to the park. We had a bear in back of the site and the rangers/game people in the area were trying to trap him.
Without a doubt the biggest attraction is Going to the Sun Road. Stop at the top of Logan Pass and see all the snow. Trail of Cedars is almost like a church it is so quiet. Good walking, mostly on boardwalk. I believe there is either boat rental or tour boats on Lake McDonald. We had some rain/wind when we were there and were not interested in being on the water then.

RE: Beat us like a borrowed mule

LMAO!! There would be a revolution in Athens town if we imported a Mississippi Bulldog. Sonny Seiller over in Savannah has the UGA line and has another candidate lined up. UGa 6 had a great career and we won a pile of games with him in the mascot house on the sidelines. He loved to have bag of ice, about 10 pounds put on the floor or on the grass. He would lay flat down on it with his belly covering the ice. Sometimes with the shot legs he would spin a bit looking for traction to move - ice held him up.
I cannot remember the team we were playing (CRS disease I guess) but 6 almost nailed one of the opposing team members as he ran down the sidelines in front of 6. Da*n Good Dog!!!

RE: Mount Rushmore, where to stay?

Custer SP has some nice sites with electric only, and the price is right as well.

RE: Exterior Paint Scratches

Go to one or two of the local auto dealerships and ask about the guys who fix the chips and scratches on the trades.
We have several around this area who come by weekly and repair this kind of damage. Had a brand new 750 BMW with the pearl finish that had a chip on the nose the size of a fingernail. The guy matched the paint perfectly, clear coated it and buffed it to match the rest of the hood. Perfect job and just a bit over $100. One guy has everything in a small cargo trailer, another in a van. All he will need is good weather and a power source to run the air compressor.

RE: Devil's Tower RV Parking

We parked on the lower area, near the campground, dropped the toad and drove it to the upper area visitors center. Were there in June and a lot of native american activities were going on. still crowded on the upper side. I cannot imagine anyone trying to drive a larger rig up there.

RE: Have you ever WON a great prize?

$600 on .25 slot
$200 on daily four lottery
$200 on a nickle slot
$400 on the Powerball lottery
Care to relate the total amount you invested to "win" that much. ;)

RE: GA 20 around Atlanta

The trouble you will experience if you go straight up 75 (on a weekday around noon, or after 9 PM ) is not nearly the trouble you will have if you take Ga 20 that far. My humble advice > drive straight thru and enjoy the trip. Beautiful skyline.

RE: H/2 Fuel cells & Heated Hyways?

So this hydrogen engine is making energy and the by product is water. Water is 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen. Save the water and reuse it. ;)

RE: Beat us like a borrowed mule

We have a pile of players from last year's team returning. Gators? We'll just have to see there. If I talk too much we might get spanked there as well. But I do believe the right coast oval ball dogs will give a good account of themselves.

RE: Revenue Agent Searching for Montana llc's

Obeying the law here in Georgia involes 7% sales tax (I just paid over 10 thousand in tax on the MH we jsut bought) and an ad valorum tax (sort of a property tax on what is not real property) that will cost me (probably) close to two thousand each year for the first 5 years.
I looked hard for a legal way around all this, but the ideas I had suggested to me all were sort of shady sounding. Had a lawyer in Montana who does this sort of LLC stuff tell me I should let it alone if the MN spent more than 6 months in Ga.
If we full timed, I might try registering in another state, but right now looks like we are nailed to the tax tree with big spikes

RE: Experience with long, last minute trips?

Long, last minute trips? We in the winter when it looks like we are about to get an ice storm or snow (here in Georgia both only last a few days) we throw some clothing and a couple of baskets of food together and head south, or southwest to warmer climes. Mostly wing it, staying a day or so in whatever CG we can find. It is actually sort of fun.
We are nearly organized enough to plan routes or stays. We figure a general destination and start driving.

RE: Beat us like a borrowed mule

I had an early start for a delivery yesterday and didn't even get to visit the forum at all, but did make it this AM.
I like the 'left coast' - 'right coast' dogs concept. I can only say that the left coast dogs are the best team... period. It was clear from about the 4the inning the stars were lined up with them. The kid with the damaged thumb played like it was not damaged at all.
Congrats to the best team in college baseball. What a great series !!!
Fall brings the oval ball and THAT will be another story!
